Kimberly Rosenfeld is the Chair of Cerritos Community College’s Education Department. She is also Chair of the Women’s and Gender Studies Department as well as Co-Chair of the Chair’s Council, a faculty senate committee. Kimberly Rosenfeld has extensive experience in faculty development for the college’s Teacher Training Academy (teacher TRAC) and Learning Communities programs, where she is also a member of their leadership teams. Her knowledge is rooted in her over twenty-years of experience as a full time Professor in Communication
Studies. She also teaches graduate classes as a lecturer in UCLA’s Graduate School of Education.
Kimberly is part of the grant team for a series of Bringing Theory to Practice Grants in collaboration with College of the Canyons where she co-organizes and co-hosts a Civic Dialogues speaker series, also supported by 3CSN. Her civic engagement work extends to serving as the Cerritos College faculty mentor in collaboration with CSUDH as they implement Govern Newson’s College Corp grant program. Finally, she sits on the Board of Directors for the Association of California Community College Teacher Education Programs (ACCCTEP).
Kimberly holds a Doctorate in Education from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she is a lecturer for the Graduate School of Education. She holds a Master’s Degree in Speech Communication from California State University, Fullerton, a B.A. in Speech Communication from California State University, Fullerton, and an A.A. from Cypress College.
