Jennifer Escobar, Coordinator

Jennifer Escobar is an English professor at Moreno Valley College, where she serves as Assistant Chair of English. She is passionate about ensuring that community college provides opportunities for everyone and has been leading ungrading and equitable assessment workshops for the last few years. Prior to teaching at a community college, she taught English at the high school level. For several years, she coordinated a local oral history project (Oral Histories of the Inland Empire), which involved middle school, high school, and college educators and their students. She serves as a reviewer for Teaching English at the Two-Year College and volunteers with a local children's literature conference. She has a BA in English from UC Riverside, a single subject teaching credential (English) from CSU San Bernardino, and an MA in Literature and Film from Claremont Graduate University.
