SSI/AtD Summit #3 – Creating Campus Professional Learning Hubs — West LA College (4/28/17)

In this summit, participants will learn the nuts and bolts of creating professional learning hubs that focus on campus initiatives and statewide projects.  Guest speaker and panelists will share activity planning, implementation and evaluation strategies that serve their campus-wide innovative student success efforts. 

* Student Success Initiative Committee of LACCD. All local colleges can participant in the SSI/AtD Summits. LACCD -SSI Committee’s monthly meeting immediately follows the summit.

SSI/AtD Summit #2 – Embedded Student Services in First Year Experience Programs — LA Mission College (3/24/17)

This Summit will focus on the importance of embedding student services in FYE Programs to further support our efforts in increasing student persistence and completion.  Guest speaker and panelist will discuss successes and share best practices and strategies for effectively addressing implementation challenges.   

8:30am -9am will be coffee and refreshments. Summit will begin at 9am. Lunch will be provided, so please register.

SSI & AtD Summit- “The ‘New’ Noncredit: Changes in the Noncredit to Credit Pathway” (LARN) — LA Valley College (3/18/16)


Last year, the Los Angeles Community College District, in collaboration with the Student Success Initiative Committee and Achieving the Dream hosted topical summits that addressed the ATD goals of our district, as well as those within CA. community colleges.  

This year we are adding to these topics by including a summit titled, “The ‘New’ Noncredit: Changes in the Noncredit to Credit Pathway” at Los Angeles Valley College. This summit will address recent policy changes in adult education, i.e. AB86, the important role noncredit has in student success, and  innovative efforts in noncredit departments.

The summit will include a guest speaker, college panelists, and an opportunity to learn what other campuses within our region are doing to address this issue.

*Lunch will be provided.
