Do your students struggle to do the reading in your class?  Do you ever wonder how to help them engage with the course texts? Do you feel like giving up on assigning reading?

Don’t give up . . . Our Students Can Read!

Reading Apprenticeship™ (RA) helps teachers support students across the disciplines and levels to become motivated, strategic, and critical readers, thinkers, and writers, to develop positive literacy identities, and to engage with challenging academic texts.

Join other community college faculty in exploring the Reading Apprenticeship framework and related instructional routines.  This event is ideal for faculty new to Reading Apprenticeship, faculty and administrators working to build an RA team at their campus,  and RA online course alumni.

The second half of the day includes a brief opportunity to apply the RA framework to your own courses and texts.  For this portion of the day, it is essential that you bring a text that you are currently using in one or more of your classes.
